Descriptive Text  Hello Everyone back to my blog again. this time we will learn together about Descriptive Text Definition of Descriptive Text Descriptive Text is a type of text in English that clearly describes the properties inherent in something, be it humans, animals, plants, or inanimate objects. The purpose of this text is to provide clear information about the object described to the reader. Characteristics of Descriptive Text 1. Using Simple Present Tense This text uses the Simple Present Tense because we will describe the facts attached to an object, and one of the functions of the Simple Present Tense itself is to show a fact or truth. Suppose you want to describe your bed, you can use the sentence: The color of my bedroom is blue. 2. Using many adjectives (adjectives). Because the function of this text is to provide information by describing an object being described, in Descriptive Text, there will be many adjectives. A procedure text is a text that explains or helps us how to make or use something. Its social function is to describe how something is completely done through a sequence of steps. The communicative purpose of this text is to describe how something is made through a sequence of actions or steps. There are three generic structures in the procedure text. The first is goals or purposes. The second is the materials or tools. The third and the last are steps or methods. To know the text that we read is a procedure or not is so simple.
